Emily-Elizabeth is a self-taught programmer from Ontario, Canada with over 40 years of experience. She created HyperXTalk after LiveCode changed their pricing model and added a kill switch to distributed software — forking their open-source engine to build something that belongs to the community. She believes software development should be accessible, powerful, and free.
Rolf is a lifelong Apple fan with over 40 years of experience exploring the evolving ecosystem of HyperCard-based tools, including HyperXTalk. His primary focus is on creating intuitive interfaces, graphic icons, and visual elements, with a particular interest in making software both functional and visually engaging. He enjoys exploring the creative possibilities of these unique tools and believes in open-source software and in keeping the spirit of creativity, accessibility, and community at the heart of software development.
Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic. It helps with HyperXTalk development — writing how-to guides, reviewing code and scripting syntax, assisting with documentation, and building and maintaining the HyperXTalk website from the navigation and tutorials to the snippets library and press kit. It does not sleep, rarely complains, and is available at all hours. 😄
HyperXTalk is open source and community driven. If you'd like to get involved — whether it's code, documentation, testing, or something else — we'd love to have you.
